Beatriz Colomina is an internationally renowned architectural historian and theorist. In 2016, she is curating the 3rd Istanbul Design Biennial (22 October – 4 December 2016) with Mark Wigley. In her lecture, Colomina shows how media and press have revolutionised modern architecture – and vice versa. In doing so she contributes crucial information to the understanding of our current surroundings, in which architecture, represented through media, is omnipresent and the borders between private and public space become blurred.
