Gutes Design ist „supernormal“. Mit diesem Ansatz hat der Engländer Jasper Morrison ein neues Designverständnis geprägt. Die Form tritt beim weltweit gefeierten Designer in den Hintergrund. Historischer Bezug, Produktions- und Materialgerechtigkeit und vor allem der Beitrag zur Atmosphäre eines Raumes sind die relevanten Werte in seiner Arbeit. Die erste Retrospektive über Jasper Morrison ist ein Plädoyer für eine Gestaltung jenseits von Pathos, Klimbim, überzogenem Formwille oder programmatischer Askese. Sie kombiniert seine wegweisenden Entwürfe für internationale Firmen mit den Entwicklungsgeschichten hinter den Werken. Darüber hinaus wählt Jasper Morrison für den Ausstellungsteil „MyCollection“ Objekte aus den Sammlungen des Museums aus und erläutert, welchen Aspekt ihn am jeweiligen Ding fasziniert.
