As a platform for reflection and debate, museums pay attention to the multiplicity of voices and perspectives and are increasingly striving to embed diversity in their work. But what does diversity mean for culture and for museums? How can it be interpreted, implemented and shared widely? Where is there a special need? What challenges does it pose for museums in terms of their collections, educational formats and narratives, but also with regard to the management of organisational structures and personnel departments as a company?

The conversation involving French-Canadian economist and feminist Rebecca Amsellem, diversity agent and curator of the Berlin City Museum Idil Efe, and Seraina Rohrer, who is Head of Innovation & Society at Pro Helvetia, will explore some of the challenges of diversity from an international perspective.
